Decorative wood panels for walls : Bard 107 Texture

The group's first wallcovering solution dedicated exclusively to interior design

Bard 107 is a creative and authentic solution with a textured surface, often reserved for wallpapers and textile wall coverings. This oak cladding is suitable for all public and private projects and offers a wide range of design possibilities. Previously reserved for exterior facades, wood cladding is now increasingly being used in our interiors. The trend is driven by the increasing number of architects who want to integrate a wooden wall cladding on an interior wall, ceiling or staircase.

Bard 107 TEXTURE, a design and durable wood wall cladding

Popular for its authentic aesthetics and its durability, wood is once again at the heart of current decoration trends.

Bard 107 stands out from current wall coverings, which are usually smooth, and offers a texture in relief inspired by the undulation of waves, which catches the light and enhances the rooms it is installed in. The relief pattern offers a real tactile and aesthetic effect with an original graphic aspect, the material effect is surprising. It allows the user to be creative.

Integrating with all decorative styles, this new range of profiled boards is ideal for giving character to a room, by delimiting a space without partitioning it or simply by adding a natural decorative touch: headboard, frame, wall decoration, or ceiling, ... all projects are possible!

The wood used comes from a French and PEFC-certified industry and is sourced from local forests. Sustainable in its design as well as in its life cycle, this product is entirely made of solid oak, with a raw wood aspect, it is compatible with all types of finishes (varnish, oil...). This new profile range is easy to install and can be installed in the traditional way on wooden battens and requires no maintenance.

Ducerf at the forefront of innovation in interior wall cladding

To enable this development of the interior cladding range, we invested in a brand new moulding machine. For Thibault Chastagnier, manager of the 2nd transformation division, it was a question of "demonstrating the reactivity of the Ducerf group". This moulding machine allows for very rapid changes of series and pointing. Its role is to profile the boards and to give them, and this is the novelty, a structured surface: undulations on the wood as for the BARD 107 Texture. We offer a natural decorative product, as it is 100% solid oak. The moulder is used to profile the decking and cladding boards and a cutting option has been added. These are notched knives developed to produce the desired pattern, for a unique surface finish. Thibault Chastagnier explains that on this moulder, there are both knives that will plane and calibrate the material and knives that will oscillate to structure the surface. "This tool is a great opportunity to respond to architects who increasingly want to differentiate themselves."

The origin of interior wall cladding: the diversion of exterior cladding

This new trend in interior wall cladding has taken hold gradually. Carole Debize, marketing manager for the Ducerf Group, has seen the phenomenon grow in recent months: "Since the beginning of the year, the number of requests for interior design products has increased significantly. It has multiplied by 4. We realised that, little by little, customers who were used to using our cladding outdoors thought that they could use it indoors. Through this diversion, specifiers want to create something unique.

The new environmental regulations in France are probably also behind this trend (Called "RE2020" Its objective is to continue to improve the energy performance and comfort of buildings, while reducing their carbon impact) : "All of our hardwood products are benefiting from the dynamics of the RE 2020. There is a real trend towards natural, ecological and bio-based materials. With wood, projects gain in coherence by associating aesthetics and environmental approach. Today, it is a strong trend in the development and architecture market. For Carole Debize, "Ducerf has the intention to continue to accompany its customers and partners in this trend in the long term. A demand expressed today mainly by interior designers and architects.
