THT beech cladding for new collective housing in the Pierres Blanches area

High-temperature treated (THT) beech cladding was chosen for rental housing being built in the Pierres Blanches area on the outskirts of Nantes, France.
The entire project covers 34,620 m2 and 115 housing units, including the Les Miscanthus building, a prime example of small collective housing.

“The architect, Claude Puaud, outlined sustainable development features used in the building: thermal-bridge-free exterior insulation, inert concrete structures, wooden lattice cladding in THT beech and small courtyard gardens providing an element of privacy for the apartments, etc. The project finish date was scheduled for the second half of 2017. “
