Helping you with your interior wood screen projects
Aesthetics and design
Solid wood screen walls offer timeless elegance and a natural aesthetic that blends harmoniously with a variety of decorative styles. The warmth and unique texture of solid wood provide a sense of comfort and refinement. The natural variations in the grain and colour of the wood create a dynamic, vibrant look, adding an artistic touch to your spaces. By playing with the orientation of the slats and the spacing between them, you can customise the visual appearance to perfectly suit your tastes and needs.
Functionality and space optimisation
Strip walls can be used to delimit areas without completely blocking the view or the light, creating a feeling of openness and space. This ability to divide rooms while maintaining visual fluidity is ideal for small spaces or open-plan offices. In addition, solid wood screens can improve acoustics by reducing echoes, which is particularly useful in noisy environments such as offices or communal living areas.
Durability and maintenance
Solid wood is renowned for its strength and durability. Unlike plywood or composite materials, our oak or beech planks are more resistant to impact and everyday wear and tear. It's also easier to maintain: it can be sanded, for example, and the addition of a new finish will restore it to its original lustre after several years. This durability makes it a worthwhile investment over the long term, offering increased resistance and lasting beauty.
Why choose solid wood planks
There are a number of advantages to opting for wooden screen panels rather than laminated wood. Not only is solid wood more durable and resistant, it also offers superior authenticity and aesthetic quality. Each piece of solid wood is unique, with its own grain patterns and nuances, giving a natural beauty and distinctive character to each installation. Solid wood is also less likely to warp or peel over time, ensuring greater stability and strength.
As our slats are finger-jointed, we can produce long slats of up to 6 m in length, giving you greater flexibility in the creation of your claustras and also allowing you to optimise the material.
Strips made of oak wood
From an aesthetic point of view, solid oak offers a rich, distinctive grain, with a variety of shades ranging from golden blond to dark brown, bringing warmth and character to any interior. Its texture and nuances evolve beautifully over time.
Strips in steamed beech
Steamed beech has a pinkish tinge. Beech has a fine grain and a straight, sometimes wavy, grain.
Uses of wooden screens for interiors
Solid wood cladding can be used in a variety of ways and in many different contexts. In homes, they can be used to separate living spaces, such as between the living room and dining room, while maintaining a feeling of openness.
In offices, screens can be used to create individual work areas or semi-private meeting rooms without the need for opaque partitions. They are also popular in shops and restaurants to create a warm atmosphere and delimit spaces while maintaining an unobstructed view.
