Birch

The birch displays a white yellowish tint and is lightly veined. Its grain is undulating, fine to medium, and its sapwood non-distinct. Medium hard and medium heavy, its wood is also elastic, with interesting mechanical properties, similar to those of beech. Birch is used in woodworking for interior carpentry, in turning and in decorative veneer.
