The CotéParc® range is welcoming a new product: a curved decking board
The CôtéParc® Ducerf range is enriched with a new curved decking board available in 3 species: natural oak, THT ash and acacia. The new curved board combines aestheticism and easy maintenance. Its smooth side gives a trendy character to the terrace while its curved profile facilitates daily maintenance and allows better water drainage in case of bad weather. Ready to use and easy to install, Ducerf curved boards can be fixed in a traditional way or with an invisible system for a clean and perfect result. They can be finished to perfectly match the style of the house and the rest of the garden.
Easy-to-install decking for all projects
The different lengths of Ducerf's curved boards are suitable for all types of projects. With a thickness of 21 mm and a width of 120 mm, they are available in continuous boards varying from 800 mm to 2500 mm depending on the species and are ideal for patio projects and medium-sized terraces. Or in finger-jointed boards ranging from 3000 mm to 6000 mm, which can be used to create beautiful, long terraces, such as around swimming pools, for example.
Ducerf's curved profile can be installed either in the traditional way with visible screws, or with an invisible fixing by screwing the boards directly onto their support for easy and quick installation. Depending on the species chosen, pre-drilling recommendations are recommended.
Depending on the desired aesthetic result, a colourless or tinted finish can be applied in order to preserve the initial colour of the THT wood instead of letting it naturally grey over the years. There are environmentally friendly saturators on the market that are easy to apply, durable and easy to maintain.
Hardwood species for a resistant and durable board
Ducerf tends to manufacture its products from local PEFCTM certified species. The new curved boards of the Côtéparc® range are transformed and profiled from hardwoods known for their natural hardness and durability. This is especially true in the case of outdoor landscaping, where wood is subject to the weather and the sun, and is sometimes in constant contact with the humidity of the ground.
- Oak, for example, is an abundant resource recognised for its intrinsic natural qualities, its durability and does not require any particular treatment.
- Acacia is a species that is highly prized by architects for its natural qualities, which can be used in class 4 and is termite resistant, but is more limited in availability in France. Both are ideal for making terraces that will withstand the weather over the long term.
- As for ash treated by high temperature (THT), it also has many advantages and offers an alternative to exotic woods: the heat treatment increases its rigidity and its resistance to fungal attacks as well as to most xylophagous insects. It has a better dimensional stability and a reduced equilibrium humidity of about 50%. Finally, the wood is homogeneously stained in the mass. Without this natural treatment, ash would not meet the requirements for outdoor use.
The CôtéParc® range: ready-to-use products made from local species.
The CôtéParc® Ducerf range enhances the value of local hardwood and some softwood species. It focuses on the development of ready-to-use products in natural wood or THT wood. Its products are intended for terraces, decking, cladding and landscaping. CôtéParc® products have many technical, aesthetic and environmental advantages and are durable over time.
