Thermally Modified Beech Cladding for New Residential Buildings in the Les Pierres Blanches District
For the construction of rental apartment buildings in the Les Pierres Blanches district, on the outskirts of Nantes, the project team selected thermally modified beech cladding as the exterior façade solution. The overall development covers 34,620 m² and includes 115 housing units, among them the Les Miscanthus residence, which stands as a notable example of small-scale collective housing.
“Architect Claude Puaud listed the sustainable development features implemented : external insulation without thermal bridges, the inertia of the concrete structure and thermally modified beech wood cladding, small patios offering privacy to the apartments, etc... Delivery scheduled for the second quarter of 2017.”
