What is special about the 3-ply panel?
This panel is made of continuous lamellas for the exterior sides and counter-crossed lamellas finger jointed for the external ply. It can be used for furniture making, table tops, fittings, etc. It is intended for all common applications of solid wood. Dimensionally stable and with a homogeneous mechanical resistance in both directions, the 3-ply panel is light and aesthetic. It can be sanded, brushed, stained, oiled or varnished. Ready to use, it is also easy to work with.
Enhanced strength
The special feature of this panel is the direction of the grain of the central fold. This is crossed at 90° to the grain direction of the outer plies, giving the product much better dimensional stability in width and length to moisture pick-up or loss. This feature allows for high precision adjustments.
A unique aesthetic effect
The 3-ply® panel is available in different species: cabinet or rustic oak, natural or steamed beech, Maple, Ash, Birch, Alder and Walnut. Each species will offer a unique appearance.
This panel has a beautiful surface appearance thanks to the careful matching of the material with the guarantee of wide lamellas (over 80 mm), precise dimensioning of the panel and two sanded sides. This panel therefore offers a very nice decorative finish.
